Approximately 10% of couples are dealing with infertility, which means you’re not alone.  So why do you feel so isolated?  It’s because many couples are ill-equipped to talk about the emotions associated with infertility.  Infertility can impact your marriage or relationship in many ways.  It will take some time to work through these strong feelings and deep pain. 

Unhealed grief may result in:

  • Intimacy issues
  • Trouble dealing with scheduled intercourse

Some couples have just been diagnosed with infertility, whereas others are actively pursuing third-party reproductive options.  No matter where you are along your journey, I can help you.  I work with individuals and couples in Clear Lake and Houston to cope with the physical and emotional changes that come with infertility, as well as prepare for medical procedures that may be painful or intrusive.  You may need help with communicating your feelings to your partner, making decisions on medical treatments, deciding which options to pursue in building your family, or how to control stress and anxiety.  I will be here to listen, provide support, and enhance your current coping skills, as well as help you develop new ones. I will also assist you in being more confident in communicating with others about your situation.  While infertility is considered to be a life crisis by many, most people find that in the long run, the experience can be meaningful and life-affirming.
